I just saw Miley Cyrus perform on American Idol and I find her whole phenomena a bit intriguing. Destiny Hope Cyrus, also known as Miley Cyrus, is best known for starring as Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana on the Disney Channel Series, Hannah Montana.

Miley Cyrus became an overnight sensation after she was cast in Hannah Montana. In December 2007, Miley Cyrus was ranked #17 in the list of Forbes Top twenty earners under 25 with an annual earning of US$3.5 million.

Personally I found myself giggling at the performance. It seemed a little hokey, but at the same time she's very young and I think that contributed to my opinion. At the same time I find myself wondering what she's going to turn into. Is she a young Madonna that will continually redefine herself and deliver ground breaking performances? Or will she fall for one of her backup dancers like Britney and self destruct under the pressure? Perhaps with a celebrity father she'll be better menored to handle the fame. As much as the performance on American Idol didn't win me over I look forward to paying a little attention to Miley Cyrus just so I can remember how she started out when she's 50 and redefining music that hasn't even emerged yet.

I'm not sure who made this Mariah Carey's official photo, but it is a nice pic. I'm actually really surprised after that last post. Of all the musicians out there I find it hard to believe that Mariah Carey is the artist that's breaking records set by The Beatles and Elvis Presley. What about Madonna or the Rolling Stones? Obviously I don't know much about how the charts work but it just seemed funny to me. Maybe I'm not as big a Mariah Carey fan as other people. She's nice to look at :)

Mariah Carey's singles have, collectively, topped the charts for seventy-eight weeks, which places her ahead of The Beatles (fifty-nine weeks), and just behind Elvis Presley (eighty weeks).

Kylie Minogue has been in the news recently amid rumors of a secret reunion with Olivier Martinez. However that has nothing to do with fashion. Kylie Minogue was recently confirmed to be the face of the Spanish luxury brand TOUS. Also, Kylie Minogue was added to PETA’s Worst-Dressed Celebrities of 2008 after being seen carrying a python skin purse. In February 2008, Minogue launched her third perfume Showtime, in addition to her own home furnishing range, Kylie at Home. That's a pretty loosely related handful of Kylie Minogue trivia for you, but hey, this is a photoblog first and a literary masterpiece - distant second. :)

Avril Lavigne has a pretty unique sense of style and I happen to be a pretty big fan. This is a pretty nice shot showing her thin figure and a bit of cleavage. Avril Lavigne's third album, The Best Damn Thing, was released on April 17, 2007 and debuted at number one in the U.S. "Girlfriend" has been used as the theme song for the Japanese idol hosted talk show Cartoon KAT-TUN.

In December 2007, Avril Lavigne was ranked at #7 in the Forbes "Top 20 Earners Under 25", with an annual earnings of $12 million. Avril Lavigne will launch her clothing line in July. The line is called "Abbey Dawn", which is her childhood nickname given by her father.
